Delegates from the InterSearch Worldwide community converged in Frankfurt from 12th to 15th May, for the first ‘in-person’ conference since the onset of the Covid pandemic. Centered on the theme of Togetherness, the main focuses were renewing old bonds, and welcoming the new partners who recently joined the network: Ageo-InterSearch Turkey, Grant Alexander in France and Green Park in the UK. Additionally, new members from GTSJ Singapore and Thailand as well as Tiglon Partners from Japan sent warm regards to their new colleagues.
Congratulations go to Carolina Giraldo from CMC InterSearch Colombia, who won the Excellence Award for her commitment and achievements in boosting international business in the Americas Region and to InterSearch Executive Consultants Germany, who received the InterSearch Brand Ambassador award.
Frank Schelstraete, Chairman, highlighted the excellent achievements of the InterSearch organization and its members who not only quickly adapted to new working models, but continued to drive strategy and operational success, increasing global revenues by 35% (compared to 2019). He said, “I’m proud to say that all of us could overcome a difficult 2020 and even excel in 2021. In fact, 2021 was the best year ever for many of our members, especially in North & West Europe, MEA and North America”. Revenues for 2021 totaled USD 150m, with the global networking successfully executing in excess of 4000 placements across 90 offices. InterSearch now operates in 50+ countries, comprising 460 consultants and 350 researchers.
The positive outlook for 2022, and its predicted trends were affected in May, given the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and the resulting impact on global economies. All InterSearch partners are committed to supporting colleagues displaced by the conflict, and we remain hopeful for a timely resolution.
Despite the challenges and restrictions of the past two years, we are proud to say the InterSearch Worldwide community stayed continuously connected and engaged, involved in global membership development, cross-border business and core activities from our respective virtual offices around the world. We wish all colleagues and partners continued success in 2022 and look forward to welcoming them all to next year’s conference.
